Compared to today, we are in a much better place. However, I worry sometimes that the mental health conversation may have gone too far, that we struggle to take it seriously. I think about someone who thinks they have OCD cause they clean up a mess straight away, or someone who says they are depressed just cause they are sad. I can’t assume these people aren’t suffering from mental health issues of their own, but it can take away from people who not only suffer from these conditions, but also have real serious symptoms they have to live with. It falls onto us to get the help we need, if we need it.
