Type “I’M OK…” in the comments below if you can relate! ❤️ Now, this might sound iNcrEdiBly toxic and we definitely DO NOT condone gaslighting as a form of communication… HOWEVER, I’ve found that a light form of gaslighting is sometimes exactly what I need to help get me out of some pretty shitty situations, mentally 🤔 It’s as simple as just telling myself I’m not anxious, when I clearly am — that switch in thinking is sometimes perfect for me. It breaks the negative cycle I’ve gotten myself into, and it lets me move on. I’m NOT saying this is the answer to allllll of our issues, but if it gives us relief for even a split second, it’s better than nothing, right?? Still, it’s not an excuse to stop ourselves from getting the help we need, ok? 🥰
